Change. It can shake up your world and disrupt what you are used to, but it can also open doors for new opportunities.
My day started off like any other. I sat in traffic all morning, got to the office, and began checking my emails. Moments later, my colleagues and I got some unexpected news. One of the most prominent people in our tiny organization (of 6 employees) has decided to move on to something different. Bigger and better things.
This guy (who happens to be my boss) was the one who hired me, and whom I’ve been working with for the past two years. He has been a source of inspiration and his enthusiasm and sense of humor in the workplace is absolutely infectious. It will be sad to see him go and I know things won’t be the same.
It also begs the question, where do I go from here? There’s definitely been moments in these past two years where I’ve thought about a change in career. As distraught as I am about his impending departure, I feel inspired to take a look at my own situation and see what I can do to grow myself.
On a lighter (and happier) note, I enjoyed an evening in the city last night!
The twinkling lights on the trees lined the street and there was a brisk chill in the air.
At dinner, I had a delicious Pom Pom (Pomegranate) Martini. It was fruity AND strong. Can’t beat that combination!
I am both excited and relieved that the weekend is right around the corner. On Saturday, I am having my first ever boudoir style photo shoot, just in time for Valentine’s Day. This experience will be slightly out of the box for me (I can’t say I’ve ever been photographed by someone in my lingerie before) but it will be fun, and a great gift for my boy on February 14th. Have a lovely night everyone!
