My two friends have been celebrating their birthdays together ever since last year. The first time, they had a huge blowout in Boston. This year, they upped the ante with a classy affair and a formal dress code. It was so fun.

The ambiance was gorgeous. Candles surrounded the living room and kitchen, and a vase filled with black and white flowers adorned the table. Black and white balloons were tied together in bunches and filled every corner of the room.

Me with my lovely ladies! Birthday girl Katy (far left), and Lauren (2nd from right, next to me!) I wore a ruched zebra print dress from Arden B with cream colored fishnet leggings from Express, and black BCBG heels.

If I could have afforded to splurge on an $800 pair of heels, these amazing Giuseppe Zanotti stilettos would be perfect.

We drank white chocolate martinis and ate foods that fit the theme – popcorn, chocolate lollipops, cheese and crackers, and… my own personal contribution – white chocolate chip cookies.

I am disheartened to admit that they tasted nothing like cookies, but like the tops of cupcakes instead! I don’t know how I managed to do that. I am a bit of an amateur when it comes to cooking and baking 🙁

One of the party guests was a bartender and made us girls a fruity shot.

The girls had the cutest cake, adorned in polka dots, with cream cheese frosting and a raspberry filling.

I got Katy this adorable ‘Peace Out’ pillow from CB2. She loves anything having to do with peace signs.
